How to Incorporate Emerging Technologies in the Classroom

Emerging Technologies can be incredibly useful in the classroom & can even lead to new discoveries! With this workshop, you will learn how to effectively incorporate Emerging Technologies into your course curriculum. Some examples of Emerging Technologies include: 3D Printing, 3D Scanning, Virtual Reality, Photogrammetry, Electronics & more! The workshop will be led by an Emerging Technologies Librarian & will provide examples of how Emerging Technologies are currently being integrated into courses across campus. Bobby Reed is an Emerging Technologies Librarian at The University of Oklahoma that focuses on 3D printing, digital prototyping, and augmented reality. Before coming to OU, Bobby held multiple positions for the Metropolitan Public Library in Oklahoma City, OK. Bobby holds a BA in English from the University of Central Oklahoma and received his MA in Twentieth and Twenty-First Century Studies in Literature from the same university. He is currently pursuing his MLIS at the University of Oklahoma. Bobby is a member of OLA and ALA and is also board member for the Oklahoma City Literary Festival.

 

When Bobby isn’t busy with school or work, you can find him writing, making music, or spending time with his family, Kristen, Hazey, and Sophia.
