Data Carpentry: R for Social Sciences (Two Parts)

This introduction to the R programming language will teach researchers concepts, skills, and tools for working with data so that they can wrangle and analyze data more efficiently. It is designed for participants with no programming experience. After this workshop, you should be able to

  • Understand basic R syntax and data structures
  • Import data (CSV files) into R
  • Summarize data numerically and with a simple plot

This workshop is adapted from the Data Carpentries Introduction to R lesson.

No prior experience is needed (i.e. no prerequisites).
