The Oklahoma Transportation Library located on the OU campus has a wide variety of items available for check out and resources that the Oklahoma Transportation Librarians will go over. There are over 15,000 items that students have access to, such as PE/FE exam study guides and materials, digitized research reports, journals, conference proceedings, and maps. The OTL librarians are also happy to help students find resources and opportunities to explore careers in transportation from a multitude of backgrounds, and internship opportunities for students who are wanting to get into the transportation field.

During this workshop, attendees will learn about the purpose of transportation libraries and the resources they offer, as well as an in-depth dive into the resources of the Oklahoma Transportation Library. Attendees will learn how to use the catalog, discover special items in the collection, and information on transportation/engineering research, study materials, resources, and national transportation organizations. Attendees will also learn about information on the OU-based Southern Plains Transportation Center, an OU-led consortium that conducts research and workforce development activities in the transportation field.
