Getting Better Results with Prompt Engineering

Large language models (LLMs) are generative AI systems that can create text based on the prompts you give them and the existing datasets they contain. They can write essays, answer questions, and even have conversations.  Prompt engineering is a technique that helps you make the most out of generative AI tools for writing.

By the end of this workshop, you will learn about:

  1. How to get improved results by practicing through activities how to use clear, specific, prompts with sufficient context using Microsoft CoPilot
  2. Important ethical considerations in using AI, including being aware of biases in the datasets, ensuring privacy, and using AI in ways that meet academic integrity standards.

For any questions, please contact the instructor at david.rankin@ou.edu or varunsaya@ou.edu.
