Visualizations in Python using Matplotlib
Matplotlib is the most widely used scientific plotting library in Python. This workshop will cover intermediate uses of matplotlib including making different types of graphs, customizing graphs, and producing batches of graphs from raw data.

Requirements

An existing knowledge of Python is required to participate in this course. We will not be teaching teaching Python as a language. If you do not yet have the prerequisites for this workshop but would like to learn, sign up for the mailing list to be notified of upcoming Python Software Carpentry workshops where these skills and others will be taught.
- Specifically you should be able to understand the general syntax of Python as a language including
- Variable assignment
- Math expressions
- Commenting code
- Know how to import libraries
- Understand loops and conditionals
- We will be using the JupyterLab portal for accessing Python. If you have Python installed, you are free to use it instead as the workshop is Python Notebook based.
- Registration is required.
