Digital Newspaper Collections at OU Libraries

Newspapers are an invaluable resource when researching events and individuals. In some cases, newspaper articles are the only record of historical events. In this introductory workshop, you will learn how to use newspaper articles as sources for your research projects.  The following topics will be explored: 

  • When to consider using newspapers for research 

  • Newspapers as primary sources 

  • Tips for using newspaper collections 

  • Newspapers available through OU Libraries

  • Newspapers available through the Oklahoma Historical Society and local public libraries

This workshop is hosted via Zoom. Registration is required. This event is free and open to everyone.
